NFP recommends rubber non-slip mats NOT BE USED with TuffCore Flooring. The "Plasticizers" in rubber (natural latex or petroleum based) are what react and cause dis-colorization in LVP flooring. National Flooring Products recommends using products with natural fiber backings. Never allow moisture to become trapped under your rug. Non-slip underlayments are available. Make sure rugs and/or underlayments are labeled "colorfast" or "non-staining".

Question: We have the Walnut from your Rhode Island collection throughout our 2900 sq ft home. It looks great, however, The General Contractor (who went bankrupt) did not protect it during the painting process. In addition, he spilled oil or something that darkened the floor in some areas. Any recommendations getting the floor back to original condition? The undamaged portions look great, however, the damage is fairly widespread. Answer: We are very saddened to hear about your experience with your General Contractor. Putting flooring in your home is typically an exciting task and we are happy you chose our flooring. In order to best advise you in the steps to restore the flooring we would need to see pictures from various angles and ask a few more questions to fully understand the circumstances. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with a detailed synopsis of whats going on. Please include information like when this happen, what color # was installed, subfloor, installation method, HVAC conditions, etc. This information along with good photos should provide us the necessary data we need to make a proper suggestion of how to go about fixing the problematic area.
